I said, "I resisted anything with 'Live' in the name until May 31, when WLM beta became available." But that's not quite true. I did download and use WLMd (8.0.1226) for just a few days before WLM (12.0.1184 - which I'm using now) appeared. That few days complicated my week-later migration from WM to WLM.

Whats happened to WLMD all i can find is WLM and not desktop version even from the beta link , i liked the option of putting it to tray but every time i install i just get WLM and not the desktop version and it deletes my old WLMD folder can any one help.

Windows Live Mail beta will install but no windows live messenger beta. I uninstalled live mail to and tried again and does not work. First of all, you need to turn off all the applications related to the Windows Live(such as WLW and WLMD) Next, if you have installed WLM already, you need to uninstall this.

WLMD won't synch!
As the other messages say, the "D" in WLMD was retired at the end of May, at beta build 8.0.1226. It was replaced with WLM (no "D") beta build 12.0.1184.
